Clinical Directors
Vana Ekmekjian-Thomson, MSW, LCSW
As a therapist, I am committed to walk alongside you as a partner in your healing. My goal is to support you through life’s challenges and help you tap into your inner strength and resilience to achieve your desired goals. Through a strong therapeutic partnership, we can work toward creating balance in your mind, body, and spirit. My aim is to help you reclaim a sense of wholeness, find peace within yourself, and thrive in all areas of life.
I provide counseling for individuals, couples, and families, tailoring my approach to each person’s unique needs. My work integrates psychodynamic and humanistic therapy to explore deeper emotional wounds, alongside practical tools from CBT and DBT to help manage anxiety, stress, emotional regulation, OCD, and executive functioning challenges. With couples, I also use the Gottman Method to strengthen communication, navigate conflict, and deepen emotional bonds.
Rosine Baklayan-Fares, MSW, LCSW
I believe healing is a journey, and I’m here to support you through both the victories and the setbacks. Growth isn’t always linear, and challenges are a natural part of the process. My goal is to create a safe, trusting space where you can explore unresolved trauma, anxiety, OCD, and emotional struggles, while nurturing the deeper connection between mind, body, and spirit. In this process, I aim to help you find peace, hope, and a renewed sense of strength, drawing from the understanding that healing comes in many forms.
I offer counseling for individuals, children, and families, building a strong therapeutic relationship to foster healing and growth. My approach combines Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and attachment-based principles to meet your unique needs. For children, I use play therapy to create a safe space for emotional expression and skill-building. My goal is to help you heal, grow, and move forward with confidence, tailored to your personal journey.
About Our Practice
We opened Providence Center for Therapy in 2024, with the desire to create a haven for individuals, couples, and families to share their heart and experience personal and collective growth. Here, we believe that the foundation of true, and complete well-being lies in the harmony of mind, body, and spirit. We are committed to guiding our clients toward deeper emotional health, fostering resilience, and helping to restore a sense of balance in their lives. At the core of our work, we believe in finding and addressing the root cause of your challenges and giving you the tools to overcome them, which will make inner healing possible.
